The National Trust Beaconsfield Centre is a thriving and friendly group with around 250 members drawn from Beaconsfield and the surrounding area.
During the summer we arrange coach outings to places of interest including various National Trust properties and other carefully selected destinations. In the winter months we organise illustrated talks by guest speakers, followed by light refreshments.
In addition, we enjoy various social events including occasional theatre trips, lunches, a quiz and a coffee morning, to which new members are especially welcome.
An annual holiday is usually the highlight of our year. During recent years we have had holidays to Northumberland, Yorkshire, Shropshire, the Lake District, Cornwall, Liverpool and South Wales.
Our 2026 holiday will be to the historic county of Kent with a carefully selected itinerary including castles, houses and gardens and something traditionally Kentish!
By participating in these events, members help us to raise valuable funds for our local National Trust properties including Cliveden, Hughenden and Greys Court.
We have an annual Christmas Draw which enables us to support children’s projects within the National Trust whilst providing cash prizes for members.
For many years we have contributed to the National Trust’s Neptune Appeal which was set up to maintain and care for substantial parts of the UK coastline, including the Giant’s Causeway in Northern Ireland, the White Cliffs of Dover and The Needles on the Isle of Wight.
Since 1971, when we were founded, we have donated more than £300,000 to various National Trust properties and projects in London & the South East, as well as some further afield.
In 2022 we celebrated our 50th Anniversary, held over from 2021 due to the Covid-19 restrictions in force at the time.
